WHY COLLEGE ADMISSION BOARDS, WHY????
So, Emma Watson is at Brown right now. And I am not. And she has a roommate. And it isn't me. I totally wanted to go to Brown, but I couldn't get in, but I SHOULD HAVE. Because Emma and I are destined to be BFFs. So I am really depressed about us being separated from each other. And also I'm depressed about us never having been together to be separated. I know she would have been cool with me being obsessed with her and stuff. She would probably just say, in her british accent "Are you taking the mickey out of me? Oh you're such a laugh, you silly american. Let's go eat some shepherd's pie and then I'll introduce you to J.K. Rowling." Anyway BROWN ACCEPT ME.

Mad Men MADNESS
Season Three. Mad Men. Has Been. Amazing. I mean in the beginning I was a little worried, and I was like "Oh man, Mad Men is going to turn into one of those shows that when you say you watch it, you are like 'Oh yeah I love Mad Men but just seasons 1&2. Those seasons were genius. Then after Marissa died everything went downhill.'" But it turned out to be awesome. Now the reason I am posting about Mad Men is not just because it is wonderful, because that would be boring (not that it has ever stopped me before). I just felt the need to point something out about Mad Men that I have recently discovered. In the online blogsphere, I have noticed that when ever discussing last night's episode of Mad Men, bloggers always seem to want to turn it into some English paper analyzing the themes and deeper meanings. Examples- here, here, here and just this entire website. I can't decide if this is just because Mad Men is awesome and is actually worth analyzing and has cool deep themes and stuff, and everything else on TV is just crap, or if these people who watch Mad Men feel the need to sound smart and make everyone else think that they understand it much more than they do. I am going to continue to debate this idea.
